These are the Rules of Engagement for this site, detailing what you can expect from us and what we expect from you to make this site a fair and safe place for conversations on energy. For more information you should also read the Terms and Conditions.
What you can expect from us
Comments submitted to this site are post moderated.
Videos are pre moderated and will be published within 24 hours of being submitted.
We will respond to any questions in your comments or videos within 48 hours and within office hours.
If we judge that your post breaks the rules below we will send you an email explaining why your contribution has been refused or edited.
After 3 warnings we will suspend your account.
What we expect from you.
We will not share any comments or videos which :
- Use obscene, offensive or abusive language; including swear words or other language likely to offend
- Are racist, sexist, homophobic, otherwise objectionable
- Are defamatory of any person, entity or organisation
- Are seen to impersonate someone else
- Reveal any personal information about you or anyone else (telephone numbers, postal and email addresses)
- Advertise products or for commercial gain
- Break the law (included but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy rights)
- Repeatedly post the same videos/ comments
- Are written/ filmed in anything other than English
- Are unrelated to the topic
If you’re under 16 years of age, you must have your parent or guardians permission to use the online forums.
By posting
- You confirm the contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any UK Laws
- You give permission for Us to use, reproduce, translate and distribute the information in any way we choose
